Inventory Management System (IMS)
To address the challenges of inconsistent stock tracking, manual reporting, and inventory loss, I developed a full-featured Inventory Management System (IMS) designed for efficiency, accuracy, and real-time control. The system supports the complete inventory lifecycle—from procurement and storage to distribution and sales—ensuring that every stock movement is accounted for and traceable. It was built using PHP and MySQL on the backend, with a responsive Bootstrap 5 frontend to guarantee usability across devices and roles.
The IMS allows users to manage products, suppliers, warehouses, and transactions in a centralized platform. Each item is tracked by SKU, category, unit, and location, with support for batch and serial numbers for industries that require detailed traceability. The system automatically updates stock levels based on incoming and outgoing transactions, and includes tools for handling returns, stock adjustments, and inter-warehouse transfers—all with full audit logging.

Role
To help businesses stay ahead of shortages or overstocking, the system features configurable alerts, reorder thresholds, and stock valuation tools. A dashboard provides real-time insights into stock movement, low inventory, and high-performing items. Purchase and sales modules are directly linked to inventory, allowing seamless integration between departments and improving operational transparency.
Security and accountability are enforced through role-based access control, restricting sensitive actions like price changes or stock deletions to authorized users. Exportable reports, printable invoices, and integration-ready data make the IMS a powerful tool for any growing organization.
This project demonstrates my ability to engineer reliable, scalable business solutions that solve real-world operational problems with clarity and precision.
Technologies Used: PHP, MySQL, Bootstrap 5, JavaScript, HTML, CSS.
